Who’s planning a BBQ?

Don’t forget to take extra care when pets are around.

Hot surfaces and food, lighter fluid and warm weather are some clear potential problems, but be aware that there are some less obvious things to be aware of: Items that could cause a blockage if eaten, including corn on the cob husks, cooked bones and kebab skewers.

Alcohol, be careful with empty cans and bottles. Alcohol is toxic

to dogs. Fatty foods can also be harmful – so no cheeky BBQ treats – it may cause pancreatitis.
