Consultations

We offer consultations with our vets across three branches at times in the day we hope will suit you. We strive to provide continuity for you and your pet where possible, so please let us know if you wish to see a particular vet and we will do our best to accommodate you.

There is an initial consultation charge but any additional medication or treatments will be communicated with you at the time of the appointment.

Our vets/nurses can always offer a full range of appropriate treatment options and are free from commercial pressure.

Prescriptions

If your pet requires a prescription you can complete the request form online or contact us at the surgery. We can also provide a written prescription if you would like to obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or pharmacy.

Please allow 2 working days from ordering before collecting a repeat prescription. Our vets can only prescribe prescriptions for pets under their care. We need to see your pet every 6 months for a prescription check up to ensure continuity of care and prescription suitability.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance can cover the costs of treating your pet if they suffer from an illness or are injured in an accident and need treatment.

Our protocol is for the clients to pay us and then claim back their veterinary bills direct with their insurers.  We will consider direct claims to us but this has to be discussed and agreed prior to treatment and on condition that the excess and any co-payments stipulated in your policy are paid on the day of treatment.

It will be the insurers policy for us to be part of processing your claim and we have an experienced clerk to help with this. We charge an initial admin fee for the work carried out on behalf of your claim. Any continuation claims will also have an administrative charge.
