Carrying out a range of surgical procedures

Routine operations are performed on weekdays at our Sturminster Newton, Blandford and Shaftesbury branches. We are able to carry out a range of procedures including neutering, dentistry, lump removals, some orthopaedic procedures, ultrasound scans and x-rays.

Alongside routine operations the need to perform emergency procedures will often arise, and with a dedicated small animal vet on call every day of the year these can be carried out at any time.

We routinely provide estimates for all operations and are very happy to deal with insurance companies if the procedure is covered under your policy. Please contact us at any of the branches for further information.

Our vets/nurses can always offer a full range of appropriate treatment options and are free from commercial pressure.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance can cover the costs of treating your pet if they suffer from an illness or are injured in an accident and need treatment.

Our protocol is for the clients to pay us and then claim back their veterinary bills direct with their insurers.  We will consider direct claims to us but this has to be discussed and agreed prior to treatment and on condition that the excess and any co-payments stipulated in your policy are paid on the day of treatment.

It will be the insurers policy for us to be part of processing your claim and we have an experienced clerk to help with this. We charge an initial admin fee for the work carried out on behalf of your claim. Any continuation claims will also have an administrative charge.
