Join us for the 2018 practical lambing course! The course is run every year on a farm so we always hope for some real life action!! The course will cover all aspects of preparing the ewe (and yourself!) for lambing including nutrition and body condition scoring. Common conditions of ewes and lambs will be discussed including photos and advice on management of these conditions and when to call the vet. Using our lambing ‘models’ there will then be an opportunity to practise lambing with different presentations being tried and the use of ropes and a snare taught. Tubing and castrating lambs will also be taught with all students able to practise.
There will be two vets available in order for students to get the best experience with plenty of opportunity for questions to be asked.
Please RSVP to the farm office on 01258 472314 to book a place.

We all love our pets and, for 18 years, Friars Moor Veterinary Practice in Sturminster Newton has been giving me the confidence that I was doing the very best I could for mine.
