DIY AI Course

Our farm vets have many years experience running AI courses which allow attendees to become certified in doing their own artificial insemination on farm.

The courses involve a morning’s theory at the practice, covering the use of AI, the safe and correct handling of semen and theory on the reproductive tract. The afternoon will be hands on, covering the handling of semen and the flask, the use of the AI guns and the physical manipulation of the cervix using real uterus’.

This day will then be followed up on farm with one of our vets allowing for practice in real situations on real cows! These practical sessions will be arranged with one of our vets in the few weeks following the course.

For more information or to register your interest for the next course please contact the surgery.
