Farm Drug collections – June 1 2020

From the 1st June, Friars Moor are reopening its branches for farm drug collections at Blandford, Shaftesbury and Sturminster Newton. We have had to make some alterations to the way we work. Opening hours will be 8.30-5. In the short term the door will remain locked. Please ring the branch number to order your drugs where they will be booked out at and placed in the lockable box.

Happy Retirement Andrew Hooker

At the end of April, we reluctantly said goodbye to Andrew Hooker who has retired after 27 years at Friars Moor. Determined not to let the current situation stop us, we marked the occasion with a get together via Zoom so that all the staff could join in as we say goodbye and wished him a very long and happy retirement.

Rabbit vaccinations due to seasonal risk of myxomatosis and RHD/VHD

This is a limited service running from our Sturminster Newton branch and calls will be triaged during this time.

Update for Livestock Health provisions – April 30, 2020

Following the latest Covid 19 announcements Friars Moor will continue to provide routine fertility visits, TB testing, foot trimming and emergency work. Vet tech work will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Drugs can be collected from Sturminster Newton and pick ups can be coordinated from Shaftesbury and Blandford but please note both these branches are closed.

Branch opening hours – Sat March 21

As a practice we are continuing to provide the best service we can in these difficult times and we are doing this by restricting movement between our branches. Because of manning our branches we will not be opening our Blandford branch this Saturday 21st March.

Shaftesbury and Sturminster will be open as usual from 8.30-12.
