October Beef Suckler Group meeting

At the beginning of October Friars Moor clients, David Maughan and Geoff Roper at Wessex Lowlines, hosted a Beef Suckler Group meeting based around Embryo Transfer. David gave the group a really informative and enthusiastic farm tour looking over the different groups of stock. The Lowlines have genetics which can be traced back to original Aberdeen Angus cattle taken to Australia in the 1930’s. The breed are highly efficient in their production of beef, so there were certainly efficiency principles to bring away from the pedigree Lowlines for the commercial beef suckler herd.

The team at Friars Moor have looked after our pets for many years. The quality of veterinary care is always second to none.
