Andrew Hooker Vet, Director

Andrew Hooker

BVetMed MRCVS
Director

Andrew qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1985 and after working in a mixed practice in Sussex moved to Dorset to join Friars Moor in 1992. He has now stopped farm animal work and is the Director responsible for the small animal side of the practice. He has a broad interest in all aspects of companion animal medicine and surgery.

Andrew has 3 dogs of his own which he enjoys working during the shooting season and 2 cats that wouldn’t know what work is. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening and is a keen archer, shooting a longbow at a local club and in field archery competitions around the South West.

Each time we walk through the surgery door at Friars Moor, we know that our pets are in the very best hands, and we feel that our pets deserve nothing less.
